CARING Run for Orphans 2016 is a charity run where all funds raised will be put into future events solely for the prosperity of the orphans from orphanages which are affiliated to the Caring Club IIUM. Hence, everyone who takes part in this event is actually contributing donation to our target group. All of the committed committee members are undergraduated students of International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).

It is a charity running event which its main objective is to collect funds and donations (if any) to conduct mentoring programmes at orphanages around Selangor (MAYANG) and outreach programmes at selected orphanages all around Peninsular Malaysia (JARING), to engage the public with orphans, and to promote healthy lifestyle. We also aimed to create awareness towards needy and unfortunate group of people and foster closer relationship between public and orphans. It is also our ardent hope the orphans wiil be able to have high level of self-esteem and self-confidence in communicating well with the public.

CARING Run for Orphans 2016 is a second series run organized by Caring Club IIUM after our first series; Run for Orphans 2014. The first series was organized on 6th December 2014 which took place inside of IIUM, in collaboration with Mahallah Zubair al-Awwam. With the utmost efforts and commitments from the committees, we managed to achieve our intended objectives which are to raise funds, to engage public with orphans, and to create awareness about unfortunate people.  The news on run was covered by Berita Harian in their newspaper on 15th March 2015.
